Designers painted the chrome grille in a matching silver paint, while spraying both the 20-inch wheels and side running bars in Corvette Competition Gray.

While the interior of the truck is treated to a dark titanium leather interior, along with an accessory trim plate kit, dual DVD screens embedded into the front seat headrests, and an Autonet mobile wi-fi hotspot.

Nine production exterior colors will be available, with tops offered in black or tan. Design of car added a tower-to-tower brace under the hood, a transmission support reinforcement brace, underbody tunnel brace and, front and rear underbody “V” braces. The company’s goal was to match the coupe as closely as possible in ride quality, handling and overall performance.

Additional safety structural reinforcements include a hydrofromed tube in the A-pillars, an inner reinforcement bracket in the windshield header, a reinforced front hinge pillar and reinforcements inside the rockers.

The result of the structural changes to the convertible body give it better torsional stiffness than the BMW 3-Series convertible. The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Coupe comes equipped with a standard power-folding top that retracts in about 20 seconds. Furthermore, a folding, one-piece tonneau cover is standard on 2LT and 2SS models and optional on 1LT/1SS.

The interior of Camaro Convertible Coupe has relocation of the radio antenna to the boot and the trunk lock cylinder from between the taillamps to an area between the rear seat back cushion and driver’s side interior panel.

2010 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid

2010 chevrolet silverado hybrid front side view 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid

2010 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid has a bed, four-wheel drive and a meaty V8 up front also added packs an electric motor and a mammoth battery pack.

The Silverado Hybrid interior is identical to the standard Silverado. Up front, the seats are comfortable enough for short stints, but start to become uncomfortable after two or three hours on the road. One of the Silverado Hybrid’s big strengths is its ability to carry up to six passengers thanks to a center console that converts into a middle throne.

2010 chevrolet silverado hybrid side view 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid

2010 chevrolet silverado hybrid rear side view 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid

GM has mated its tried-and-true 6.0-liter V8 to a two-mode hybrid system for a combined 332 horsepower and 367 pound-feet of torque.

The Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid can drive up to 30 mph on all-electric power thanks to twin electric motors mated to a variable planetary gear system in the four-speed automatic transmission, and a 300 volt nickel-metal hydride battery pack serves up all the necessary power. GM has also fitted the big V8 with a few fuel-saving tricks, including cylinder deactivation and an auto-stop system, and the result is an EPA-rated 21 mpg city and 22 mpg highway.

The Silverado Hybrid is plenty comfortable to drive, though. The brakes are more than competent and power from either the electric motors or the big V8 is plenty for any sort of driving scenario. The auto-stop for the engine shuts down smoothly enough, and the 6.0-liter mill comes to life with the same kind of show that accompanies starting any V8.

2011 HPP Trans AM Chevrolet Camaro

Heide Performance Products (HPP) is now ready to show its next pony car conversion – a Camaro-based Trans-Am kit – at this year’s SEMA show in Vegas. As with all the other Firebird body kits out there (Lingenfelter’s, ASC’s, etc), HPP’s version does its best to bring back the good-ol’ days of the screaming chicken. The results, as with any “we’re selling you memories” conversion, vary.

Maybe the Trans-Am will forever be a Chevy wearing a costume. It’s similar to having a Plymouth nameplate on a modern Chrysler or Dodge; the vintage naming works for the Daytona, but not for the Superbird. Alongside HPP’s Trans-Am will be a body kit for the Camaro that helps give Chevy’s kinda-sorta-dated sports coupe some extra flair. Also, HPP will have a Camaro wearing an HPP T-Top kit, too.
